Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Spark Plasma Sintered Mg-Zn-Ca-Pr Alloy

Alloys based on magnesium are of considerable scientific interest as they have very attractive mechanical and biological properties that could be used to manufacture biodegradable materials for medical applications. Mechanical alloying is a suitable process obtain alloys normally hard produce it allows solid-state diffusion via highly energetic milling, producing fine powders. Powders obtained by this method can sintered into nearly net-shape products, moreover, their phase chemical composition specifically tailored. This work aims investigate the effect milling time density, microstructure, composition, Mg-Zn-Ca-Pr powders processed high energy (HEMA) consolidated spark plasma sintering (SPS). Thus, results XRD analysis, particle size distribution (granulometry), properties, SEM investigation mechanically alloyed alloy presented in manuscript. The illustrate how amorphous crystalline materials, which demonstrates impacts resulting properties.
